WEEK 1 — January 5

Methodology, Terminology, Shampoo & Blow-Dry Foundations

Objectives:

Understand cutting language and salon terminology
Master proper sectioning, parting, comb control
Learn professional shampoo basin technique
Build foundational blow-drying (tension, direction, polishing)
Introduction to head sheets and haircut breakdowns

WEEK 2 — January 12

One Length / Forward Graduation

Objectives:

Create tension-controlled, consistent one-length shapes
Understand forward graduation and its face-framing effect
Practice body alignment for clean lines

WEEK 3 — January 19

Inverted Layers

Objectives:

Master triangular layering and internal weight removal
Learn elevation & over-direction for movement
Balance shape visually and structurally

WEEK 4 — January 26

Square Layers

Objectives:

Build square shapes with strong, modern structure
Maintain equal distribution for balanced layers
Practice cross-checking & refinement

WEEK 5 — February 2

Classic Bob

Objectives:

Precision cutting for sharp, clean lines
Control graduation through finger angle
Introduce refinement + perimeter detailing

WEEK 6 — February 9

Round Layers

Objectives:

Produce soft, organic movement using round shapes
Work with elevation and moving guides
Maintain consistency through curvature

WEEK 7 — February 16

Graduated Bob

Objectives:

Build weight and shape with controlled graduation
Master internal/external balance
Improve stance positioning and guide tracking

WEEK 8 — February 23

Women's Short Graduation

Objectives:

Apply advanced graduation techniques
Work with curvature at short lengths
Focus on precision cutting + crown control

WEEK 9 — March 2

Men's Traditional Cut

Objectives:

Master foundational barbering shapes
Tapering, blending, scissor techniques
Understand masculine structure & outlines

WEEK 10 — March 9

Scissor-Over-Comb / Clipper Fade

Objectives:

Achieve clean, seamless blending
Learn clipper guard systems & soft transitions
Build speed while maintaining precision

WEEK 11 — March 16

Redo / Open Class — Advanced Texturizing & Detailing

Objectives:

Revisit any shape needing reinforcement
Explore personalization techniques:
- Point cutting
- Slide cutting
- Channeling
- Razor texturizing
Prepare for final assessment

WEEK 12 — March 23

Final Test-Out

Format:

Runway does/ photo shoot

3 haircuts without instructor assistance
Demonstrate consultation → sectioning → execution → finish
